New Energy Coalition organisation & partners
The partners of New Energy Coalition offer their expertise, knowledge and funds in support of our one common goal: the acceleration of the energy transition. They are a mixed group of entrepreneurs, policymakers, scientists, knowledge institutes, social organisations and governmental organisations.
The role of our partners is diverse. Partners can actively participate in various programmes, projects and events – in co-production, or as a host, or contribute to projects and events in any other shape or form.
We offer a standing invitation to any party who subscribes to our mission and wishes to collaborate.

The Foundation Board is made up of strategic partners; they take part in determining our organisation’s long-term work programme.
The Board is composed of representatives from the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, EBN, NAM, Gasunie and GasTerra.
Strategic Coalition Council
The Council consists of coalition partner directors and experts and other external parties. The Coalition Council gives strategic advice.
Organisation New Energy Coalition
International Advisory Board
The Board advises on our strategic course, mirrored by international developments in the energy field. The IAB is formed by Joan Macnaughton, Nawal Al-Hosany, Doug Arent, Hans-Peter Beck, Tareq Emtairah, Ken Koyama, Tatiana Mitrova, Pradeep Monga, Petter Nore and Malcolm Wilson.
The New Energy Coalition organisation is formed by a team of 45 FTE (approx. 54 employees).
New Energy Coalition is a continuously evolving public-private partnership and is open to connect with parties that support our mission:
– Knowledge partners (including universities and colleges, institutes)
– Companies in the energy sector (including energy suppliers, network companies)
– Companies outside or close to the energy sector (e.g. chemicals, ICT)
– Governments (local, regional, national and international)
– Social organisations (including nature and environmental organisations)
– Networks within and beyond the energy sector: regional, national and international
