This requires innovations and well-trained talent. In the Northern Energy Region, we bring partners together to collaborate on groundbreaking research, innovations, and future-proof education. This way, together we contribute to a prosperous, strong Northern Energy Region.
Innovations in the region, for the region
We work on innovations with (international) project partners and in partnerships throughout the energy chain. We focus on open innovation with the input of expertise in hydrogen chains, energy hubs, sustainable carbon, and human capital. We regard the energy system as a whole: innovations and programs are developed, tested and validated in the region, but have an impact far beyond our regional borders.
Investing in human capital
The growing demand for well-trained personnel in the energy sector directly affects our region. That is why we are investing in the development of future-proof energy education for students, professionals, and organizations already working in or about to enter the sector. Together with educational institutions, companies, and government agencies, we are building a broad and coherent educational offering in the Dutch northern regionThis way, we ensure that we retain knowledge in the region and that new generations are well prepared to work on new energy for a strong northern Netherlands.
