CEO Marieke Abbink in OLEC Advisory Board
Germany’s Oldenburg Energy Cluster OLEC has been a ‘sister organisation’ of New Energy Coalition – and its forerunner – for many years and promotes sustainable energy development in North-West Germany. The neighbouring regions in Germany and the Netherlands regularly join forces in cross-border energy projects and there are warm ties and exchanges. At the establishment of OLEC’s Advisory Board on 4 October last, New Energy Coalition’s director, Marieke Abbink, was installed as a member of the Board. An honourable and festive moment.
Among other things, OLEC is actively working to make Northwest Germany a pioneering region in terms of climate neutrality. The Advisory Board will be at the disposal of the Executive Board as a competent advisory body and impulse generator, in order to promote new ideas for the network and to explore – cross-border – cooperation opportunities in the regions.
