Citylogistic 2.0 workshop: Last mile logistics
The demands on parcel and postal service providers and city centres are increasing: environmental protection, noise reduction and liveable neighbourhoods are just some of the factors, as are climate-neutral delivery and the use of renewable energy in distribution centres. What might the future of last-mile logistics look like? Several projects in the north-west are exploring this. As part of the Interreg A project Citylogistic 2.0, an exchange with current logistics projects will be facilitated to discuss different areas of innovation and approaches to solutions.
Start: Thursday, 21 November 2024 10:30 am
End: Thursday, 21 November 2024 13:30 pm

What is Citylogistics 2.0
The project will develop an innovative, intelligent and sustainable distribution system. It consists of an energetically self-sufficient, mobile mini-hub and a vehicle optimised for this purpose, powered by the renewable energy provided by the mini-hub. The minihub is designed as a mobile unit that can be set up at any location and thus optimally integrated into the last-mile logistics chain. During the project phase, two operational and test phases are planned in the partner cities of Groningen (on Zernike Campus) and Oldenburg (in the new Helleheide district on the former air force base).
The Citylogistic 2.0 project is implemented under the Interreg VI programme Deutschland-Nederland and is co-financed by the European Union, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZK), MWIKE NRW and MB Niedersachsen and the provinces of Groningen, Fryslân, Drenthe, Flevoland, Overijssel, Gelderland, Noord-Brabant and Limburg.
