Hydrogen in Den Helder
Metip, the Maritime Emerging & Enabling Technologies Innovation Park, will host the next H2 Kenniscafé. This beautiful location, situated on the former Willemsoord naval shipyard in Den Helder, serves as an innovation center, community center, field lab, tech hub, and incubator, where the latest and emerging technologies are innovatively applied to maritime, marine, and offshore (energy) applications.
The program includes an update from the Environmental Agency on a completed Q&A regarding hydrogen legislation and regulations. The Zephyros project will also be discussed from various perspectives, including the planned installation of a green hydrogen plant in the Port of Den Helder and the construction of a hydrogen refueling station by project partner Total Energies. The station will supply green hydrogen to shipping, freight, and passenger transport. Collaboration across the entire supply chain is necessary to achieve this.
