About InCUBE
InCUBE (an INClUsive toolBox for accElerating and smartening deep renovation) aims to make the renovation process of existing buildings in the European Union more sustainable, by:
- reducing renovation costs (working more efficiently)
- saving and producing energy through smart and local solutions
- monitoring and analysing predicted and actual energy consumption in the process
At the end of the project, the ‘InCUBE Suite’ will be delivered. This tool enables seamless coordination of different renovation phases, while using data to improve tenant comfort and make the renovated buildings actively play a role in the local energy system by serving as storage or renewable energy generators, for example. Central to this are industrialisation, new renewable energy sources, digitalisation and business models. Throughout the project, inclusiveness and equality in retraining (potential) employees plays a central role.
