Hydrogen Cross Border Conference comes to the Emsland border region

Hydrogen experts discuss profitability, knowledge and courage in Lingen and Haren.
How can the cost gap between fossil fuels and green hydrogen be closed? This key question will be addressed at the fifth Hydrogen Cross Border Conference (HCBC), which will take place in Emsland on March 11-12, 2026.

The conference kicks off on March 11th in Haren (Ems) with a "Maritime Special," focusing on the decarbonization of shipping. On March 12th, the event moves to Lingen (Ems), where the IT center will focus on the entire value chain, from electrolysis to supplying regional industrial clusters.

Focus on practical solutions

The program focuses on close collaboration between industry and research. This year, the emphasis is primarily on bridging the "price gap": the cost difference between fossil fuels and green hydrogen. Experts from major companies such as RWE, BP, and Gasunie will discuss technical innovations and regulations with representatives from Fraunhofer IWES and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.

Register for free

Participation in the conference is free of charge thanks to the support of the cross-border partner network (including H2-Region Emsland, MARIKO GmbH, New Energy Coalition, FME, OLEC eV, H2-Ostfriesland). Since the number of places at the IT center in Lingen is limited, we recommend registering early.

The full programme and registration form can be found on the Hydrogen Cross Border Conference website.
