Goal
Within H2Platteland, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, knowledge partners, and governments collaborate on the development of an innovative hydrogen ecosystem in Noord-Holland NoordThe project forms the basis for decentralized hydrogen production, making green hydrogen available to the region and enabling further sustainability.
Description
H2Platteland develops and demonstrates a complete regional hydrogen chain, in which locally generated sustainable energy is converted into green hydrogen and subsequently stored, transported, and used. This provides the building blocks for the hydrogen transition in Noord-Holland Noord laid and an important step is taken to break the chicken-and-egg dilemma surrounding hydrogen. By producing green hydrogen decentrally, the price per kilogram drops, and entrepreneurs can switch to hydrogen more quickly to make their business operations more sustainable.
Impact on the region
H2Platteland implements the hydrogen program of the Province of Noord-Holland and contributes to the development of the Hydrogen Valley North Holland (H2Hub North HollandBy making green hydrogen regionally available, a foundation is created upon which further applications and investments can build. In addition, the knowledge and experiences from the project are being translated into new teaching materials for regional education, thereby also preparing the future labor market for the hydrogen economy.
Our role
New Energy Coalition is substantively responsible within H2Platteland for the progress of the project. We support the lead partner. GreenportNHN In the progress reports, we coordinate the substantive implementation and guide the implementing partners with technical and analytical expertise. Additionally, we encourage the integration of the various links within the hydrogen chain to strengthen knowledge development and collaboration.
