Goal
Implementation of a smart energy grid on the ZuidOost Groningen business park to enable flexible energy use and contribute to the energy transition.
Description
The project demonstrates that collective flexibility on industrial estates promotes the integration of sustainable energy, prevents grid reinforcement and saves costs for companies and grid operators.
Our role
New Energy Coalition facilitates collaboration between partners, supports knowledge sharing and policy development around smart energy grids.
Partners
New Energy Coalition (formerly Energy Valley) partnered up with Bedrijvenvereniging Zuidoost, Eneco, Enexis Netbheer, EQUANS Nederland, the Municipality of Groningen, ICT Group, Jules Energy, and Eindhoven University of Technology.
