Future of energy and mobility at New Energy Forum
Thursday the 22nd of June 2023 marks the third edition of New Energy Forum, the event for (upcoming) energy and mobility professionals, from student to CEO. This free festival brings visitors up to date on pioneering initiatives in the energy and mobility transition. The day has a packed programme with inspiring speakers, topical discussions, demonstrations, games and presentations.
For a sustainable future, the energy and mobility transition is an indispensable link. That is why governments, companies and knowledge institutions are working together to accelerate this transition. To bring (prospective) energy and mobility professionals up to speed in one day on the latest developments in energy transition, mobility, climate adaptation and leadership, New Energy Forum is organised every year on the EnTranCe site on Zernike Campus in the city of Groningen. This year, an inspiring programme with keynotes, workshops, presentations and debates has been put together around the theme Breaking Barriers. The keynotes will be given by Kees Vendrik (chair of Nationaal Klimaat Platform), Jessica den Outer (UN expert in nature rights) and Florian Dirkse (co-founder of The Ocean Cleanup), among others.
See and experience
Besides the sections where visitors can listen or join in discussions, there is plenty to see and experience at the ongoing demonstrations, such as the world’s first hydrogen-powered GPU from Groningen Airport Eelde that was recently launched, and the latest solar car from the Top Dutch Solar Race team, the energy transition fair, and more. There are innovative demonstrations from regional secondary vocational schools and visitors can play ‘serious games’.
