Cooperation and knowledge sharing in hydrogen partnership Australia and the Netherlands
Australia and the Netherlands will actively cooperate on hydrogen. This was confirmed last Monday with the signing of two agreements. One of the agreements was drafted and is led by New Energy Coalition, the ‘Partner for International Business’ (PIB) Hydrogen Australia. This is a trade promotion tool of the MoU to position Dutch companies well in Australia. Prior to this, the energy and climate ministers of both countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MuO) stating their commitment to actively cooperate in the field of hydrogen.
Cluster
A cluster of ten Dutch organisations was formed for the PIB Hydrogen Australia programme to position the Dutch hydrogen sector as a partner for Australia. By doing so, Dutch companies aim to take advantage of Australia’s hydrogen opportunities and contribute to Australia’s ambition in green hydrogen production and export. This cluster consists of: Elestor, Metalot, Nedstack, Soluforce, VOPAK, Port of Rotterdam, Gasunie, TNO, Prodrive and New Energy Coalition. Under the leadership of New Energy Coalition, various activities and programmes will be implemented to promote trade. New Energy Coalition will organise (matchmaking) sessions and inbound and outbound missions to achieve this goal.
