Who will win the ENTRANCE Award 2024?

The ENTRANCE Award, a prize for pioneers in the energy transition, will be presented for the third time on June 20, 2024. A jury of experts will select nominees based on established criteria. The ENTRANCE Award—worth €100.000—is open to nominations from individuals, civil society organizations, or companies in the Netherlands that have delivered an innovation or achievement that contributes to the energy transition.

Nominate before May 17

Nominations can be submitted until May 17th. The Award ceremony will take place on June 20th during the New Energy Forum, annual festival for (future) energy and mobility professionals at Zernike Campus Groningen.

ENTRANCE Award

The ENTRANCE Award was established by the ENTRANCE – Center of Expertise Energy to support and reward innovative initiatives for the energy transition. Previous winners were BioBTX (2022) in New Born Rubber (2023)

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  1. Delivering an innovation or performance that significantly contributes to the energy transition and/or scaling up an innovation to have a substantial impact on the energy transition.
  2. Benefit from support from ENTRANCE and its partners.

The €100.000 ENTRANCE Award consists of a cash prize of €25.000 and a support package tailored to the winner's needs.

The submitted nominations will be assessed by a professional jury consisting of Ruud Koornstra (entrepreneur/innovator), Jörg Gigler (TKI Nieuw Gas), Koen Kok (TU Eindhoven), Dick Pouwels (Executive Board of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen), Eelkje Oldenburger (Milling Company Europe) and Marcel Koenis (ENTRANCE).
